I’ve been married for almost twenty-three years to my Proverbs 31 wife Vanessa. Just as God brought Eve to Adam because He saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone, He brought me my soulmate, life partner, and help meet when I was alone and a single parent. She is the best thing on earth that has ever happened to me.

We have been blessed with the opportunity to raise our son and daughter from my previous marriage; thankful that God entrusted them to us to raise them in the way they should go, and to lead them to a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.

We are now in the season of life consisting of adult children, a daughter-in-love, and very young grandchildren.

Both my siblings are very much a part of my life along with aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews on both my mother’s and father’s sides of the family.

God truly blessed me by placing me in a God-centered biological family, both my immediate and extended family, both my father’s people and my mother’s people. They have shared the good times as well as the bad.

I continue to be intentional about nurturing my family relationships by staying in contact, sharing things that matter, praying for each other, and encouraging one another.

Henry is encouraged by the love and compassion he receives from his family as he continues the battle for his life against MultipleMyeloma. He shows slow but steady progress for a few days. He prays and asks God what more He wants him to do. Henry receives his answer in his spirit when he awakens the next morning: “Be faithful.”

Self discovery takes work, but is also a beautiful avenue for living authentically through life and revealing the wisdom you already possess inside of you. You already have everything you need to make this happen, so let’s begin.
