We are all on the “Journey of Life.” Within our life journey, we travel many shorter, diverse journeys. Some we travel simultaneously, others sequentially. Some crisscross with each other; some are traveled on separate paths that never intersect.
WHY IS FAITH IMPORTANT?
Faith is important because it is at the root of the authentic life you live. Your faith determines what you believe to be true in your heart of hearts. What you believe to be true in your heart determines what you think and what you value. What you think and value become your words and determine your actions. Your actions over time become your character. Your character defines who you are in terms of how you are living your life.
Each journey has a beginning, middle and end. Some we travel with others; some we travel alone. Some are seasons in time, some are seasons of our lives. Our journeys are the fabric of our lives.
FROM ZION TO A CITY OF HOPE
A JOURNEY OF FAITH
From Zion to a City of Hope – A Journey of Faith, is a book based on the true story of Henry B. Dotson’s cancer recovery journey. What do you do when you, a loved one, or a friend face a life-threatening situation with very little chance of survival? How do you react? In what or whom do you trust? In what or whom do you place your faith?
To live an authentic life requires faith. To live an authentic life requires us to travel on journeys of faith. In our travels, we will encounter others who are on journeys in pursuit of living authentic lives.
